What is RO DBT Teen Group Therapy?

The RO DBT Teen Group Therapy is based on Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy, an evidence-based approach designed for individuals who struggle with overcontrol, including perfectionism, anxiety, and social disconnection.

In this group, teens learn and practice skills in a supportive peer environment, with a focus on both understanding emotions and improving interpersonal relationships.

Skills Training – Teens are introduced to core RO DBT skills that support emotional regulation, openness, and social engagement.

Experiential Practice – Participants practice skills in real time through group interaction, helping them apply what they learn in everyday life.

Peer Connection – The group setting provides opportunities to build relationships and feel less alone in shared experiences.

Ongoing Support – As an open group, teens can join and continue developing skills over time, with consistent guidance and support.
